The service

NannyLore is a private, voice-first record of a child’s days, written by the family’s caregiver and translated for each reader at the moment of delivery. It is documentation made with love — it is not childcare, not a monitoring system, not medical advice, and not an emergency channel. If a child needs urgent help, call emergency services, not an app.

Accounts and roles

• Accounts are for adults 18 and over. You’re responsible for what happens under your sign-in.
• A family owner manages the family’s space, its invitations, its subscription, and its erasure.
• A caregiver writes the book and owns her portable career record.
• A viewer (a grandparent, an aunt) reads and loves — read-only, in their own language.

The subscription and its money

• Every new family’s book begins with thirty free days — the full product, nothing held back.
• After that, one subscription: $24.99 a month or $199 a year, paid by the family. In a nanny-share, each family subscribes separately — separate walls, separate books, separate bills.
• The caregiver never pays. Her account carries no subscription and never will.
• Cancel any time from the Account page; the subscription runs out its paid period. If a subscription lapses, the book waits — reading and writing pause, nothing is deleted, and export and deletion remain fully available.
• Payments are processed by Stripe under their terms; prices may change with advance notice to you, never retroactively.

Whose words are whose

• The family owns the book — the moments, photos, replies, and hearts in their space, including the caregiver’s entries about their child, which remain part of the book even if she later leaves.
• The caregiver owns her record — profile, credentials, issued references, tenure — and takes it with her. General tenure stays anonymous. When a family issues a reference, that act explicitly consents to preserving the family name and employment period on that immutable reference.
• Translations are renderings; the original words are canonical and always shown beside them.
• You give us only the license needed to run the product: to store, process, translate, and deliver your content to the people you’ve invited. Nothing more.

What you agree not to do

• No unlawful content, no content about children who aren’t yours to document, no uploading someone’s likeness or words without the right to share them.
• No probing, scraping, or trying to reach another family’s space — the walls are load-bearing.
• No using the product to harass, surveil, or build a case file against a caregiver — that is the opposite of what this is.

Care records, honestly framed

Caregivers may log naps, bottles, medication given, and moments of concern. These entries are the caregiver’s contemporaneous documentation for the family — they are not medical records, not dosing guidance, and not a substitute for a pediatrician. Where an entry involves medication or an incident, we deliver the caregiver’s words with numbers preserved exactly, and show her original beside any translation.

Endings

You can leave any time: take a copy, erase the family’s space, delete your account — all from the Account page, none of it gated by the subscription. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and where the break harms a child, a family, or the walls, we will act first and explain after. If we ever wind the product down, families get notice and a full export window first.

The legal spine

The service is provided as-is; to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amounts the family paid in the twelve months before a claim. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. If a clause fails, the rest stand. This page is the whole agreement between us about the service.
